1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using LearnSkill.io ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform. These terms apply to all users, including visitors, registered users, and subscribers.

2. About the Platform

LearnSkill.io is an AI-powered learning platform that generates personalized courses, lessons, worksheets, and audio content for any skill a user requests. The Platform is operated by LearnSkill.io.

3. User Accounts & Guest Access

You may sign in via Google or email to unlock the full Platform. However, certain entry-level experiences — including the Study Card free trial — can be used as a guest, without creating an account. To save progress, top up time, or make any purchase, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and all activity under it, agree to provide accurate information, and to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

4. AI-Generated Content

All courses, lessons, worksheets, diagrams, and audio on the Platform are generated using artificial intelligence. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information. Users should independently verify critical information before relying on it for professional, academic, or safety-related decisions.

4A. NCERT & Third-Party Educational Material

Certain features — including "NCERT-Verified" lesson banners, the "NCERT Solved Exercises" modal, and our handcrafted Hindi literature chapters — reference, summarise, or solve content sourced from NCERT (National Council of Educational Research and Training) textbooks published by the Government of India, as well as poems, prose, and other literary works whose copyright belongs to their respective authors or estates. All such material is reproduced solely for non-commercial educational reference and study, with attribution to its source. NCERT and the original authors retain all copyright in their works; LearnSkill.io claims no ownership over them. If you are a rights-holder and believe any content has been used outside fair-dealing limits, please email support@learnskill.io and we will remove or modify the material promptly.

4B. Study Lab — User-Submitted Inputs

Our Study Lab feature lets you submit documents (PDF/DOCX/PPTX/TXT/MD/CSV), photos (PNG/JPG/WEBP/HEIC), web URLs, YouTube links, and free-form text for AI processing. By using Study Lab you confirm that (a) you own the material or have permission to use it, (b) the material does not infringe any copyright, trademark, privacy, or other right of any third party, and (c) the material does not contain confidential, malicious, or illegal content. You retain ownership of your submitted material; you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence solely to store, process, and return AI-generated outputs to you. We do not use your private uploads to train external AI models. Saved Study Lab sessions remain in your account until you delete them.

4C. Photo & Camera Input

The Photo tab in Study Lab and similar features allow you to capture or upload images (textbook pages, homework problems, whiteboards, diagrams) for AI vision analysis. Images are transmitted securely to third-party AI providers (e.g. Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini) for processing and are not stored permanently unless you save the resulting session. Do not photograph or upload images containing other people without their consent, sensitive personal data (Aadhaar, PAN, bank statements), or copyrighted material you do not have rights to.

4D. Tests, Exam Prep & Sample Papers

Our Tests & Exam Prep module, Sample Question Papers, and Previous Year Question Papers tiles produce AI-generated mock tests modelled on publicly available CBSE / ICSE / state-board blueprints. These mock papers are not endorsed by, affiliated with, or sponsored by CBSE, NCERT, ICSE, or any other examination board. Scores, grades, and feedback are AI-estimated for self-study purposes only and do not reflect official examination evaluation criteria. Always cross-check exam patterns, marking schemes, and syllabi with the official board website before relying on them for actual exams.

4E. AI Teacher & Voice Chat

The Platform includes AI teacher personas — "Aarav Sir" (Senior cohort, Class 9–12) and "Aarav Sir" (Junior cohort, Class 6–8) — that engage in multi-turn text and voice conversations to answer questions about lessons or Study Lab sessions. These personas are AI characters, not real human tutors. Conversation transcripts are stored in your account to provide continuity and may be reviewed by our team in aggregated, anonymised form to improve quality. Voice features use third-party text-to-speech and speech-to-text providers; audio is processed transiently and is not retained. Do not share personal, medical, financial, or otherwise sensitive information with the AI teacher.

4F. YouTube & External Web Content

When you submit a YouTube link or external web URL to Study Lab, our system fetches publicly available captions / page text via third-party services and proxies. We do not download, redistribute, or claim ownership of any YouTube video, audio, or third-party article. The original video / page rights belong to their respective creators and platforms (YouTube LLC, the article publishers, etc.). You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with YouTube's Terms of Service and the source site's terms.

4G. Study Card — Time-Based Access, Guest Trial & Referral Minutes

The Study Card is our flagship product: a prepaid, time-based pass to your AI Super Teacher ("Aarav Sir") that works across subjects and levels — from school to UPSC, in the language you choose.

• Guest free trial. You may try the Study Card free, without signing up, for a limited introductory period (currently 30 minutes). Free trials are provided on a per-device basis and may be rate-limited or verified to prevent abuse. We may change, shorten, or withdraw the trial at any time.
• Referral minutes. Sharing the Study Card with family or friends may earn you additional free minutes, once, subject to verification. Bonus minutes carry no cash value and may be withheld or reversed if we detect fraud, self-referral, or other abuse.
• Top-ups. To continue beyond your free time you must create an account and purchase a top-up (currently the ₹999, ₹1,999, and ₹3,999 tiers). A top-up grants a fixed number of hours of Study Time with no expiry; it is a one-time purchase, not an auto-renewing subscription, and is consumed as you use the teacher.
• Refunds. Purchased minutes are non-transferable and, once partly or fully used, are non-refundable, except where required by law. A top-up that has never been used may be refunded at our discretion within 7 days of purchase — email support@learnskill.io.

5. Pricing & Payments

LearnSkill.io offers a Free trial, Pro, and Pro Max plan. The Free plan provides full Pro access for 3 days with no credit card required. The Pro plan costs ₹1999 per month and includes unlimited courses/subjects with unlimited lessons, chapters, AI teacher, audio lessons, worksheets, and study planner. The Pro Max plan costs ₹3999 per month and adds larger Team Study seats and priority support. Referral discounts: when a user you referred subscribes, both of you receive 50% off your next month — ₹999 for Pro or ₹1999 for Pro Max. Discounts apply only to the first subsequent billing cycle and are not stackable with other discounts. All payments are processed securely via Razorpay. Subscriptions auto-renew monthly at the regular price and can be cancelled anytime from your profile. Study Card top-ups (₹99 / ₹299 / ₹499) are separate one-time minute purchases, not subscriptions, and do not auto-renew — see Section 4G. Prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are subject to change.

6. Refund & Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period. Refunds for partial months are not provided. If you experience a technical issue that prevents access to your content, please contact us at support@learnskill.io and we will work to resolve it.

7. Referral Program

Users may share their unique referral link to invite others. When a referred user subscribes to the Pro plan, both the referrer and the referred user receive a 50% discount on one month of their subscription. Referral discounts are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. LearnSkill.io reserves the right to modify or discontinue the referral program at any time.

8. Intellectual Property

All platform design, branding, code, and AI models are the property of LearnSkill.io. AI-generated course content is provided for personal educational use only. You may not redistribute, resell, or commercially exploit the generated content without prior written consent.

9. Prohibited Use

You agree not to use the Platform to generate content that is abusive, offensive, illegal, or violates any third-party rights. Our AI content moderation system may reject inputs deemed inappropriate. Attempts to bypass moderation or exploit the system may result in account suspension.

10. Privacy & Data

We collect your Google profile information (name, email, profile picture) for account creation. Your learning progress, course history, and chat interactions are stored to provide a personalized experience. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. 11. Limitation of Liability

LearnSkill.io shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Platform or reliance on AI-generated content. The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify users of significant changes via the Platform.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
