The Complete Story

Once upon a time, in a lush green forest, there lived a very clever monkey named Miko. Miko was not like other monkeys. He loved to think, solve problems, and help his friends whenever they were in trouble. All the animals in the forest admired him for his quick thinking and witty ideas.

The Thirsty Crow's Problem

One hot summer day, Miko was resting under a big banyan tree when he heard a sad, weak voice. It was his friend, Chiku the crow, who looked very tired and thirsty.

"Miko, I am so thirsty! I have been flying all over the forest looking for water, but I can't find any," said Chiku in a faint voice.

Miko jumped up immediately. He knew he had to help his friend quickly. He looked around and spotted an old earthen pot near a farmhouse at the edge of the forest.

"Follow me, Chiku! I think I know where we can find water," said Miko confidently.

When they reached the pot, Chiku's eyes lit up with hope. But when he peeked inside, his happiness turned into sadness. The pot had water, but it was at the very bottom, far too low for his beak to reach.

"Oh no! The water is there, but I still can't drink it. What do I do now?" cried Chiku.

Miko's Clever Plan

Miko sat down and thought for a moment. He scratched his head, looked at the pot, and then smiled widely. He had an idea!

"Don't worry, Chiku! I have a plan," said Miko with a twinkle in his eye.

Miko started collecting small pebbles and stones from around the farmhouse. One by one, he dropped them into the pot. Plop! Plop! Plop! The stones made splashing sounds as they fell into the water.

Chiku watched curiously. He didn't understand what Miko was doing at first. But as Miko kept dropping more and more stones, something magical started to happen. The water level began to rise!

With each stone Miko dropped, the water came a little higher and a little higher. Soon, the water reached the top of the pot, and Chiku could easily dip his beak into it and drink!

"Hurray! Thank you so much, Miko! You saved my life with your smart thinking!" chirped Chiku happily, flapping his wings with joy.

The Grateful Forest

News of Miko's clever idea spread throughout the forest. All the animals – the rabbits, deer, squirrels, and parrots – came to thank him and learn from his wisdom.

"Miko, you are truly the smartest monkey in the forest!" said Rani the rabbit.

"How do you think of such wonderful ideas?" asked Pintu the parrot.

Miko smiled kindly and said, "My dear friends, I am not special. Anyone can be smart if they use their brain, stay patient, and never give up. When you face a problem, always remember to think carefully and look for simple solutions around you."

The Lesson of the Smart Monkey

From that day on, all the animals in the forest tried to be as thoughtful and helpful as Miko. They learned that intelligence is not about knowing everything – it's about using what you know in clever ways to help yourself and others.

Miko continued to live happily in the forest, always ready to help his friends with his quick thinking and bright ideas. And whenever any animal faced a problem, they would think, "What would Miko do?" – and often, they would find the answer themselves!
